For more information on the individual clarity grades, head over to: https://beyond4cs.com/clarity/si1/ https://beyond4cs.com/clarity/vs2/ If you had been shopping for an engagement ring and ran into a dilemma between choosing a VS2 or an SI1 diamond, you’ve come to the right place. In this video, we will show you exactly how a VS2 diamond would look like compared to an SI1 diamond. We wear both Tiffany styled 6 prong rings on the finger and examine them under different types of lighting environments. When diamonds are selected well and for eyecleanliness, there is no way your eyes can see the inclusions without a magnification aid. Sometimes, consumers get too hung up with inclusions in an SI1 diamond because they can see the inclusions under magnification. However, what their eyes can see in reality is a totally different story. Inclusions look scary under a loupe and it eats into our psychology of owning a ring. However, when you shop with a practical mindset and understand how things really are in real life, you will find that these fears are unfounded. In fact, simply by choosing a VS2 or SI1 diamond clarity would enable you to save a lot of money without paying a premium on clarity grades. Also, a diamond’s sparkle and brilliance has nothing to do with its clarity. As I had shown you in these 2 examples, there’s no need to buy an IF diamond or VVS diamond in order to get a beautiful ring. These 2 diamond engagement rings explode into life in spotlighting and sunlight conditions. The fire and brilliance they display are simply eye blinding. Look at both engagement rings carefully. Can you even see the faintest mark of flaws or inclusions in them? I can assure you that you can’t. Even when I know exactly where the inclusions are in the grading report clarity plot, I couldn’t even find them when I scrutinize these rings. And mind you, I’m a trained professional with an eagle eye. If I can’t see them, do you think a lay person can? When worn on the finger, both VS2 and SI1 diamonds look identical to each other and they face up really white because of their cut quality. Now, the differences between these 2 clarity grades is roughly 10% in prices. That’s to say if you bought a $5000 diamond ring of the same make, there would be a sizable difference of $500 between these 2 rings. Now, I want to hear from you. Has your perception of SI1 and VS2 diamonds changed? Between a VS2 or SI1 diamond clarity, which grade would you choose if you had a choice? Or would you not buy both because of psychological reasons and would pay a lot more for higher clarity grades? Leave a comment below to let me know what you think.
