Trying something new, I've been using Tabs since the Tabcrawler.cc days in 2000, then when Guitar Pro and Ultimate Guitar appeared, I was on the bandwagon and have been using it for years to learn rock / metal tunes. I was feeling a bit under the weather last week, so I decided to finally have a crack at transcribing my own tunes.... and hopefully that might be a good thing to expand into teaching some slide things, my old Charley Hicks tunes, Charley Patton tunes...with a visual playing along. There's a guy (Clément Reboul) on YouTube doing the same for Django Reinhardt style tunes and I love trying to play just a bar or two at normal speed so I thought Id try it for delta blues. Slide seems really tricky to transpose 100% but this is the first thing I've done myself, I have purposely not included notes to 'Let Ring' - 'Vibrato' just to keep it not looking a mess at this point. and the chords show all 6 strings being played mostly tho this isn't always the case it's to try illustrate where the slide is and all of its making noise but not necessarily being picked, hopefully this becomes clear when you listen to yourself play it. So please let me know how you find it if you give it a go, I'm probably going to notice a million things I can improve on as I go but here's Version.1 of my tune that I think could give you a whole bunch of slide / open tuning ideas. It's in Open D (DADF# AD) tuning - down a FULL step to C G C E G C The audio is just my phone at this point but I will try do a better filmed / recording / tab once I iron out some of the issues Cheers !
