This video features my original marching band arrangement of “Strange Things” by Randy Newman. Originally written and performed by Newman for the film Toy Story, this piece is widely recognized for its energetic character and memorable melodic lines. This arrangement aims to capture Woody’s growing unease and jealousy as he realizes Andy is giving Buzz Lightyear more attention. While the melody is lively and upbeat, the growing dynamics and fighting melodies reflect Woody’s jealousy and fear of losing his place, highlighting the challenges of change and feeling replaced.
