A Walk Through the Toronto Islands including Centreville

The Toronto Islands are easily accessible by the Toronto Ferry or Water Taxis. The Toronto Ferry is the perfect spot to get that picture of the Toronto Skyline. I suggest buying your ticket in advance. We filmed this video in a Tuesday in June. Come July there will be huge lines to get onto the Ferries. The ferry takes about 15 minutes to cross over to the Islands. You can buy your tickets here: https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/... I suggest you head to Centre Island, unless you have a specific spot you are going to. Here you will find Centreville - a kids amusement park, Franklin's Children's Garden, a maze, restaurants, boat and bike rentals and beaches. Note: DO NOT bring Bike Share bikes to the Island. You will go over your time and Bike Share will charge you lots of money. Either rent a bike on the island or bring over an actual rental bike. There is also a Tram Tour. This tour takes you over to Hanlan's Point. It is a great way to see that side of the island without having to walk. The tour takes 35 minutes and is a little bumpy. If you are looking for the Clothing Optional Beach, you will want to take the Hanlan's Island ferry and walk. Centreville is an amusement park, perfect for the 8 and under crowd. It allows really young ones to go on most of the attractions. The rides are there year long and are well maintained. It is free to walk through, you only pay for the attractions. If you plan on going on many rides consider getting a day pass. Beside Centreville is the Far Enough Away Farm. Here you will find many different Farm animals. On the South side of the Island it is lined in sandy beaches. However, there are flags telling you if the lake is safe to swim in. The lake is also quite cold. We walked over to Ward's Island. This is the part of the Island where people live year round. We ended our day having a lemonade at the Island cafe, while waiting for our ferry back to the city.
