The Power of Cyclical Living and Nurturing the Next Generation 🌿 In this video, we continue to dive into the challenges women face in a culture that often overlooks their cyclical nature. From understanding how stress impacts health to recognizing the importance of community, this discussion highlights why supporting teenage girls during their transformative years is crucial for their development and well-being. 🌸 Key takeaways from this video: Women’s power lies in embracing their cyclical nature, not mimicking constant productivity. Stress hormones have profound effects on women’s overall health and well-being. The teenage years are crucial for shaping how young girls perceive their own bodies and capacities. Mothers play a vital role in modeling a positive relationship with the menstrual cycle. 💬 What steps can we take to foster thriving environments for women and girls? I invite you to join me on this journey of self-discovery. 😊 WHO AM I If we haven’t met before – Hi! I’m Adriana. I like to think of myself as a cultural architect, philosopher and writer but I am mostly the mother of two girls, a partner to a pretty cool guy, and an apprentice gardener that lives off-grid at a community in Australia. How did I get here? Long story short…life took me from Brazil to Hong Kong, where I lived for some years, then India, where I recovered from a break-up, learned yoga, drank a lot of chai and met an English guy… …a few years later I was the mother of Australian babies! This journey came, as they often do, with many ups and downs. Learning to recognise myself as cyclical was not as straight forward as it may sound but it transformed my life. The harvest of that would, many years later, turn into the C-lab I share my work through running retreats, workshops, speaking at conferences and through writing (book on its way!). I also speak online (here!) and on podcasts. The C-Lab - a Lab for the exploration of a new culture - was officially created only a few years ago. Our explorations focus on many of the things that modernity has had us forget; such as the cyclical nature of the female body and why that matters for us as individuals and as a collective. My ultimate goal is that we, as men and women, learn to see each other more deeply and through that co-create a more beautiful world for the future generations.
