Edit: 20th August: Having your stronger glyph on your front bar is better, if you're able to get relatively equal enchant procs on both bars. Your enchant remembers your crit values based on the bars cast. For this reason, I will use Flame Front and Shock Back glyphs for pure ST situations. Summary - This video showcases the potential Magicka Nightblade setups that I will use in trials in the Wolfhunter patch. For those wanting to learn (new to trials, new to Magicka Nightblade etc), hopefully, a lot of this stuff might be useful for you. For the experienced player, it would be nice to compare thoughts. For the information about the rotation itself, please see the 'Rotation Info' section of my Summerset Magicka Nightblade video here: ( • ESO - Magicka Nightblade Trials Rotations ... ). It's basically the same and I have nothing new to add in this regard. If you're here to learn about the rotation, I would recommend it. The main reason why I make these videos is for the long-ass descriptions. Primary focus here is on gear and weapon enchants, since they are the biggest change from Summerset. Thanks @stileanima for the lack of orbs, low drain and aether uptimes Gear Comparison - From the video: It is apparent that Master Architect combined with Mother's Sorrow is a strong set up for providing Major Slayer as group support. For this reason, Siroria and Master Architect are compared. For the most part, the sets give very similar DPS results on solo, within 1-2k. Siroria wins out when considering a perfectly static situation. However, the less consistently you can keep the stacks, the smaller the difference between Siroria and Master Architect. First rotation (Master Architect Sorrow Zaan - Infused Shock Enchant on frontbar and Infused Flame Enchant on backbar - 56.3k - https://i.imgur.com/PFhC4G5.png) Second rotation (Siroria Sorrow Zaan - Infused Shock Enchant on frontbar and Infused Flame Enchant on backbar - 58.3k - https://i.imgur.com/IFK0Obq.png) Gear and CP - https://i.imgur.com/XtMhTzD.png , https://i.imgur.com/MdFcICB.png (55k+ on a 6mil is achievable without an external source of Minor Vulnerability if comparisons are desired). Alternatives to Mother's Sorrow: Burning Spellweave and Scathing Mage, even Julianos have proved to be adequate alternatives in many different scenarios. You can barely tell the difference. Enchant Testing - In order to make the tests consistent, Minor Vulnerability was applied with 100% uptime. This is to negate any inconsistency in sources of Minor Vuln. sourced from the Shock Enchant and/or Elemental Weapon. Mother's Sorrow was also used on the frontbar, since it is a stable bonus, instead of proc chance such as Burning Spellweave and Scathing Mage. The third control variable is the use of a Flame Enchant on the backbar staff. In the tests, it was decided to compare Infused Shock Enchant, Infused Berserker Enchant and Precise Berserker Enchant (Credit to @Web_Silliams for suggesting this). For pure Single Target, with no external buffs (except the Minor Vulnerability), it seemed the Infused Shock Enchant was slightly better than the other two, which were pretty similar. However, in many trial fights, this shall not be the case. With raid buffs, it remains to be seen how well each of these options scale. (If a definitive answer is found, then I will update it here). Precise Berserker Front - https://i.imgur.com/8rpylt9.png Infused Berserker Front - https://i.imgur.com/aA4m8Ki.png Infused Shock Front - https://i.imgur.com/IFK0Obq.png Below is a list of trial fights and enchant combinations that I'd probably use. General thoughts: Infused Fire/Shock for reasonably pure single target, Infused/Precise Berserker front for important Multi-target fights, Infused Berserker back for when adds in front of the boss that might steal a backbar flame enchant, and Infused Prismatic front for those Prismatic bosses.
