Tiered Ruffle Skirt Tutorial with Pockets - DIY Sewing

This is a tutorial on how I made a 3 tiered gathered skirt. The last tier is an exposed ruffle. There are no zippers just an elastic band for the waistband and, of course, there are pockets for your convenience. As always there are different way to approach this, this is my take on it. The pattern is really simple so it is possible to directly cut it out from fabric. There are schemata drawn in the video to visualise the different pieces. If you want you can write down your own values and sketch on a piece of paper. A whole paper pattern is not really needed. Then the different parts are sewn step by step. The first steps are the top most tier together with the pockets and waistband. Then the second tier and last but not least the last tier with the exposed ruffle. The most time consuming part is the gathering of the different tiers.
