We have gotten much better at diagnosing and treating heart failure, but it continues to have a high mortality, with a 5 year survival of around 50%. The pathophysiology of heart failure can be complex, but it is crucial to understand it if you are going to see patients with the condition. In this video we discuss the pathophysiology including to relationship with the kidneys and nervous system.
