New project: slow stitch field notes - lots of ideas for Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery

So excited to be starting Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery Volume 6 project which is to create a slow stitch fabric field notes journal, taking inspiration from books like Edith Holden’s The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady. #Roxysjournalofatitchery #slowstitching In this video I will share many ideas I have this project and two different version of field notes inspired pieces I am going up create. The first will be a standing up version of an accordion book that will make a gorgeous feature piece across the front of a bookshelf. The second will be little tins combined slow stitched fabric pieces and actual nature specimens. I also share some beautiful stamps that I’m planning to stamp onto fabric to use on the project and lots of lovely vintage laces, doilies and trims that will add lots of texture and interest. I show the start of laying out my first page featuring a tulip and Latin script.
