In this episode, theology professor Dr. Owen Vyner joins Dr. Harne for a conversation about the importance of family and community, and the need for a theology taught as a living, unified discipline. During the conversation, Dr. Vyner and Dr. Harne discuss the influence of Pope St. John Paul II, the spiritual life in marriage, the significance of communion in education, and give practical advice for families to deepen their faith. Vyner earned his B.A. from the University of Western Australia, his Master’s in theology and his Ph.D. from the John Paul II Institute (Melbourne), and finally his STL from the Liturgical Institute (Mundelein). Vyner specializes in liturgical and sacramental theology, especially the sacrament of penance, along with theological anthropology. In addition to papers published in Antiphon, Vyner has also written for Homiletic and Pastoral Review and Anthropotes.
