I’ve wanted to make a Bridgerton-inspired gown for years — and I finally did it 💎✨ In this video, I recreate the silhouette and construction style seen in the show (not historically accurate Regency fashion, but the dreamy on-screen version we all fell in love with 💜). I take a closer look at details like the narrow bodice, the underbust seam, the pleated back, and the hook-and-button closure — and instead of relying on a commercial sewing pattern with a zipper and lots of gathering, I decided to draft everything from scratch. From choosing the lace to hand-sewing buttons and adjusting the final fit, you’ll see the entire making-of process 🪡 This project was all about understanding the structure behind the romance — and creating my own “diamond of the season” moment. If you love sewing, dressmaking, costume breakdowns, and Bridgerton-inspired fashion, I hope you’ll enjoy this one 💕 Music: Bach - Sonata 1 No. 1 & Violin Concerto (Pixabay) Instagram: @crafty.liza 00:00 Intro 01:51 Research 04:48 Drafting the Pattern 08:43 The Muslin 11:41 The Materials 15:22 Cutting the Fabric 16:55 Sewing the Bodice 24:42 Sewing the Sleeves 29:39 Sewing the Skirt 33:52 How the Back Is Closed 35:11 Final Reveal
