I started by checking the horn, headlights, flashers, instrument lighting, passenger compartment and glovebox lighting as well as the blower fan. For outside lighting, I checked the headlights, turn signals, brake lights and number (license) plate lighting. I then checked the quality and effectiveness of the BMW i8 seatbelts. Finally, I checked the windscreen (windshield) washer and wiper effectiveness. Following that, I checked the tread depth of the tires with this gauge: https://amzn.to/3j3EkQm I was looking for even tire wear. If the tires wear unevenly, it may be the result of some serious suspension or pressure problems. See this link for diagnosis: https://files.tirediscounters.com/201... I then proceeded to check all the joints in the suspension, the tie rod ends and the axles. I found a leak of CV Joint grease leaving a pin hole in the CV Boot. Thanks to Evan from @thicgarage for sharing his experience with his Axle CV Boots in his Mercedes and recommending what I should look for. I'm under CPO warranty so I'm going to take the car in to have that repaired. I finally reset the CBS system, so that I no longer was alerted of the Vehicle Check on the iDrive. By pressing the Start/Stop button without any of the pedals depressed, resets can be done by pressing and holding the Trip Reset button for 10 seconds. Select the item with a 3 second push and clear it with another 3 second push. Confirm using the BMW i8 iDrive.
