In einer heiligen Stadt anzukommen, ist immer eine gute Idee. Vor allem, wenn diese Stadt Cuzco heißt! Bevor es soweit ist, besuchen wir noch einige andere Orte in Peru, an denen die Inkas vor uns waren. Bei den Salzbecken von Salinas bewundern wir die Tausenden von Salzterrassen und auf dem Weg nach Macchu Picchu, wenn wir das heilige Tal durchqueren, kommen wir an so vielen anderen Inka-Ruinen vorbei, von denen eine schöner und interessanter ist als die andere. Wir sind so beeindruckt, dass wir uns fragen, warum nur Machu Picchu bei Touristen so bekannt ist und Namen wie Ollantaytambo oder Pisac der breiten Öffentlichkeit nichts sagen. Viel Spaß beim Betrachten der Bilder in und um die Hauptstadt des Inka-Reiches! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aankomen in een heilige stad is altijd een goed idee. Helemaal als deze stad Cuzco heet! Voordat het zover is bezoeken we nog een aantal andere plekken in Peru waar de Inca's ons zijn voorgeweest. Bij de zoutbassins van Salinas bewonderen we de duizenden zoutterrassen en onderweg naar Macchu Picchu als we het heilige dal doorkruisen komen we langs zoveel andere Inca's ruines de ene nog mooier en interessanter dan de andere. We zijn zo erg onder de indruk dat we ons afvragen waarom alleen Machu Picchu zo bekend is bij toeristen en bij bijvoorbeeld namen als Ollantaytambo of Pisac er bij het grote publiek geen belletje gaat rinkelen? Veel plezier met het bekijken van de beelden in en rond de hoofdstad van het Inca rijk! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arriving in a sacred city is always a good idea. Especially when that city is called Cuzco! Before we get there, we will visit a number of other places in Peru where the Incas preceded us. At the salt basins of Salinas, we admire the thousands of salt terraces, and on the way to Machu Picchu, as we cross the sacred valley, we pass so many other Inca ruins, each one more beautiful and interesting than the last. We are so impressed that we wonder why only Machu Picchu is so well known to tourists and why names such as Ollantaytambo or Pisac do not ring a bell with the general public.
