Can I cross Braunton, Devon by using ONLY the River Caen, some deeper water in places but water is clear due to a dry period allowing the river bed to be mostly visible. Route starts at the listed Deans Bridge in Church Street & the River is followed through (mostly hidden) semi-subterranean culverts to Caen Street/ Saunton Road. EP 2 continues on to Velator where we meet the incoming tidal water & the route ends. Bridges on route 1)Deans Bridge 2) St Brannocks Cemetery 3) Butts Bridge (A361) 4) Parks Access 5) Caen Primary Sch. (foot) 6) Railway footpath 7) Caen Street (B3231).
