SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Ivan Rudnytskyi, Deputy Head of Ukrainian Security Service: "At the same time, another young woman from the Kharkiv region, who had just recently turned 18, was now calling the 102 hotline in the Lviv region, where she reported that a shoplifting was taking place at a certain address by two unknown persons, indicating that a police response was required. The police, of course, reacted immediately, and when the first crew arrived, the first explosive device was detonated." 5. Suspect shown on screen being interviewed (++FACE BLURRED AT SOURCE++) 6. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian) Ivan Rudnytskyi, Deputy Head of Ukrainian Security Service: "When additional forces arrived, there was another explosion. Unfortunately, our colleague, a young police officer, died, and many were seriously injured - about two dozen law enforcement personnel were injured. At the same time, the main suspect went towards the state border. She had a foreign passport with her. And here I am very grateful to the joint work of the Security Service and the National Police. It is very nice that the Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the relevant operational search unit were also involved, because the place where she was detained is already close to the border. And here they showed how all security measures in the region are coordinated between the security and defence forces. She was detained." 7. Wide of Klymenko and Rudnytskyi listening to question STORYLINE: Ukraine's Security Service on Monday said a woman recruited by Russia was responsible for Sunday's attack in the western city Lviv. The explosion killed one person and injured 25, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a Telegram post on Sunday. The deputy head of the Ukrainian Security Service, Ivan Rudnytskyi, told reporters the woman had been recruited by Russia via social media and was promised 2,000 US dollars for her actions. During a new conference in Kyiv Rudnytskyi said that it was a coordinated attack in which police were lured to a scene of a made-up robbery and explosive devices were detonated upon their arrival. He said the woman was detained near the border with Poland. "She had a foreign passport with her. And here I am very grateful to the joint work of the Security Service and the National Police," Rudnytskyi told reporters. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
