Copyright 2020 | Brandon Mendel (Reuse allowed with permission). Originally Recorded 6/5/2020 So I took a much needed break over the summer and decided to record tons of sirens in the meantime. The last time I was in Columbus was six years ago which is crazy hard to believe. My first stop was the 7V8-B in Trafalgar which, when I arrived, mysteriously disappeared. I settled for an ambience instead thinking maybe it got moved but I didn’t hear squat besides the 2001 that’s already there. My next stop was this Whelen located at Oakbrook Drive on the southwest side of town. Besides the test being a little late, I couldn’t ask for a smoother siren recording. The weather was perfect, the siren sounded awesome, and everything worked. I didn’t even get randomly approached mid-test which tends to happen when I set up at places like these. With the exception of Edinburgh, sirens in Bartholomew County are tested on the first Friday of the month at 12 noon by the Bartholomew County EOC. It is unknown if their smaller sirens are also tested with the system. Enjoy, and as always comment, like, and subscribe for more. Thanks!
