[Tremolo Showdown]Boss Mooer Toadworks Onerr Schaller Recording Details (Signal Path): WJJ Proteus Electric Guitar (Neck Pickup) Evidence Audio Lyric HG Cable Tremolo Pedal short patch cable ZT Lunchbox Amplifier George L cable iRigPRO MacBook Pro Recorded on Audacity 2.0.0 (No compression) Video edited on iMovie 10 Comments: 1. Boss pedals has a great sound, I still like it since it was the first tremolo pedal I used. 2. The Mooer has a louder output than the Boss pedal & feels more hi-fidelity than the Boss. 3. The Toadworks pedal is very tweakable & has a lot of personality to it. I find it most useful to experiment with more modern sounds & experimental pieces. 4. The Onerr sounds smooth but the output is lower and appears to color the sound a lot. 5. The Schaller affects the sound in a very dramatic way and to me gives the most classic sound very easily. The knobs are very responsive & this is the easiest pedal for me to use for that classic vintage tremolo sound at the moment. My current use for these pedals: 1. Boss TR-2 Tremolo I've used this a lot for Tex Mex & Jazz gigs with Oakland singer-songwriter Tara Linda. It was also my main tremolo pedal for pops orchestra gigs with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. A very reliable pedal and practical. 2. Mooer Trelicopter A mainstay of my 'Electric Poetry' project pedalboard, this pedal gave me additional colors for my solo electric guitar gigs in mid 2013. It's higher output and more hi-fi sound was useful to contrast the Boss pedal which was also on my board at the time 3. Toadworks Pipeline This still hasn't been in live shows yet and is a pedal I'm experimenting for future projects. I love the sound and expect to use this in future jazz trio gigs when I use a minimal pedal setup (2-4 pedals) 4. Onerr Copper Tremolo CT-1 Not using so much for now. I find it possibly a useful sound for rock settings. I might experiment with this for texture in layered electric guitar recordings. 5. Schaller Tremolo My favorite classic tremolo sound at the moment. I plan to use this as the main tremolo for gigs that require a simple & effective classic tremolo. A great sound.
