He recently put out a thorough article that analyzed and reviewed all of the randomized control trials with verified outcomes in the last decade and found that none of them show a statistically advantage to wearing a face mask compared to not wearing a mask. Rancourt wrote a letter and his findings to the Canadian government and the WHO asking them why are they now recommending masks. Prior to Coronavirus, the WHO and the CDC didn’t recommend masks because there are dangers associated with them. . . In May 2020, the New England Journal of Medicine, one of the most respected scientific journals published an article saying the face masks worn by the public offer little to no protection from infection. The second paragraph states: . . “We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal.
