AIT STUDIO Co., Ltd. (CEO Singi Park) participated in the ‘KIMES INSPIRE’ special zone at KIMES 2025 (The 40th Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show), held from March 20 to 23 at COEX in Seoul. AIT STUDIO is a digital healthcare company established to transform senior healthcare through innovative AI technology. CEO Singi Park worked for nine years at an automotive company developing sensor-based vehicle control systems and computer vision AI products. According to the company, he applied this expertise to tackle aging-related challenges, combining cutting-edge pose estimation AI, sensor control, and time-series data analysis to create a revolutionary gait analysis medical device. AIT STUDIO stated that their AI technology aims to detect gait patterns, which are early signals of degenerative diseases such as sarcopenia and Parkinson’s, to enable early diagnosis and preventive care in medical and healthcare settings. The MediStep Kiosk and the MediStep M Pro for iPad were showcased at the exhibition. Hardware partners include LG Electronics and Apple Korea. These devices are registered as Class 1 gait analysis medical devices. An AIT STUDIO representative said, “Conventional gait analysis devices require physical markers and multiple sensors, costing tens or even hundreds of millions of won. MediStep, using a camera-based markerless method, achieved 95% accuracy compared to high-end motion capture cameras. It is used in general hospitals, health centers, and welfare facilities.” They added, “While other KIMES booths showcase the presence of medical devices, the Inspire Zone shows the future of medicine and healthcare. We met with professors, hospital buyers interested in purchasing, large corporations, investors, and overseas buyers. Based on these results, we plan to scale up our business rapidly this year.” The launch of MediStep and MediStep M Pro at KIMES led to sales to universities, hospitals, welfare centers, and public health centers, and an MOU was signed with a medical device distributor. AIT STUDIO targets aging, advanced markets like the U.S., Japan, and Europe. A Japanese buyer at the exhibition commented that the device’s ability to quantify and report movement aligns well with Japanese cultural preferences. The company also plans to innovate its export model. Instead of shipping full devices, it will enable users to install the MediStep single app on locally purchased iPads with Apple’s support, significantly reducing logistics costs. AIT STUDIO is receiving support from KOTRA, which assisted with CES 2025 participation and will support the company’s presence at Swiss Biotech Day in May. This year, the company aims to build reference cases through sales to early adopter customers in public institutions, academia, and hospitals. It is also preparing for exhibitions in Switzerland, Paris, Germany, Japan, and the U.S.. It hopes to bring about an era where people can easily check their health by recording their walks within the next two years. KIMES, first held in 1980, is Korea’s largest exhibition dedicated to medical devices and hospital equipment. Co-hosted by Korea E&Ex, the Korea Medical Devices Cooperative Association, and the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, the 2025 edition presents a global lineup of advanced medical equipment and hospital systems. This year, the exhibition featured the ‘KIMES INSPIRE’ Pavilion, which brought together innovative startups in medical technology, SaMD (Software as a Medical Device), and digital healthcare. The pavilion showcased the future vision of medical technology and the evolving role of AI-driven digital health solutions. 출처 : AVING NEWS(https://us.aving.net)
