I wrote Memories on a cold morning in January, sitting at the piano and thinking about Ireland — its landscape, its atmosphere, and the many beautiful memories it has given me over the years. The melody came quietly at first, simple and reflective. As it developed, I found myself picturing the rolling hills, the wild coastline, the soft grey skies, and that unique feeling Ireland carries — both peaceful and powerful at the same time. The piece is piano-led, with gentle hints of Celtic ambience woven through it, almost like echoes of those places and moments that stay with you. This music is very personal to me. It’s about nostalgia, gratitude, and how certain places can shape us in ways we don’t always realise.
