Historical MoU Signed Between CU Bilaspur, India, and the State University of New York at Albany, USA, during the Inaugural Ceremony of the International Conference Under the visionary leadership of the honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Alok Kumar Chakrawal, GGV has achieved remarkable distinctions by signing historical MoU Between CU Bilaspur, India, and the State University of New York at Albany, USA, during the Inaugural Ceremony of the International Conference. The Department of Pure and Applied Physics, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), the State University of New York at Albany, USA, and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali, jointly organized a two-day International Conference on Complex Systems, Advanced Materials, and Photonics (IC-ETCMP-2025) from February 27 to 28, 2025, at RajatJayanti Sabhagar, GGV, Bilaspur, in a hybrid mode. The conference commenced with a traditional inauguration ceremony, including the lighting of the ceremonial lamp in honor of Goddess Saraswati and paying homage to Baba Guru Ghasidas. This was followed by addresses from distinguished dignitaries. The Chief Guest, Prof. Alexander Khamaladze from the State University of New York at Albany, USA, and the Guest of Honour, Prof. Sanjay Puri from JNU, New Delhi, delivered their speeches. The inauguration ceremony began with a welcome address by the Conference Chairman, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, followed by addresses from the HoD of Physics, Prof. Parijat Thakur, Dean of Physical Sciences, Prof. H. S. Tewari, Chief Guest, Prof. Alexander Khamaladze, Guest of Honour, Prof. Sanjay Puri, and a Presidential Address by the IQAC Director of GGV, Prof. A. K. Saxena. On this occasion, a formal MoU file exchange was conducted between GGV and SUNY, USA. The Conference Convener, Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Dubey, delivered the Vote of Thanks. Additionally, the Conference Co-Conveners, Dr. Suchita (Physics, GGV) and Dr. Prasenjit Das (IISER, Mohali), shared their views on the growing popularity of the conference. The conference received a record number of abstract submissions from prestigious institutions worldwide, demonstrating its significant impact at both national and international levels. Approximately 200 delegates registered for the International Conference, and 130 abstracts were presented by delegates from countries including the USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, Singapore, Nepal, Nigeria, and India. Participation and Keynote Address The conference saw the participation of leading researchers, scientists, research scholars, and students from various parts of India and abroad. The keynote address was delivered by distinguished Professor Sanjay Puri, JNU, New Delhi. The event also featured speakers from prestigious international institutions, including: • State University of New York at Albany, USA • HSE University, Moscow, Russia • University of Leeds, UK • University of Montpellier, France • Institutes from Italy, Germany, Singapore, and Nepal Additionally, speakers from highly reputed Indian institutions such as: • TIFR Hyderabad • IIT Delhi, IIT Ropar, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT BHU • IISER Mohali, IISER Bhopal • JNCASR Bangalore Many research scholars from NIT Srinagar to NIT Tiruchirapalli registered and presented their research through oral and poster presentations.
