♥♥♥PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION♥♥♥ This is the second part of Iris (JimXAriel). This story is called A Smiling Lily. What would happen if Jim was the one who fell in love with Ariel, while she became human for Eric? Jim's mother had always told him stories about mermaids when he was younger. 12 years later, Ariel has a hard life with always getting into fights with her father. Jim works for Eric to help build his mom's dream restaurant and on his free time rides around on his board. One day Ariel spots a ship over head of her room and goes to see what it was like for the humans. She sees Jim sweeping the deck but Eric is who catches her eye. When she gets a statue of Eric from Flounder, her father finds out what shes been doing and destroys her collection including the statue. Ariel gets fed up and makes a deal with the sea witch to become human for 3 days, unless she kisses Eric.When she appears from the water Jim sees her and runs to go meet her, but Eric beats him to it and invites her to stay at his home. When Ariel is getting settled in her room, Jim goes to knock on her door to meet her, but decides against it. The next morning Ariel is in a rush to see Eric again that she runs into Jim. But then Eric comes and brings Ariel back so she could get ready. During the dinner Jim is cleaning the dishes while Ariel is trying to act her best at the table. But when she fails to impress Eric, she becomes embarrassed when he laughs. But Jim makes her feel better when he smiles at her. Jim is then cleaning the deck when he watches Ariel being bored until Eric finally talks to her. Excited, she tries to kiss him, but Eric does not like her in that way. When Ariel is back in her room, annoyed, she sees Jim reading around on his board and becomes interested in him. That night, Jim sees Ariel brushing her hair through the window and wishes that he was able to talk to her. The next day, Jim is washing the dishes when Ariel comes to talk to him, but is taken away by the butler(?) so that Jim could finish his job. Later that night, Ariel goes to see him once again, but he had fallen asleep. She covers him with a jacket. He then wakes up and sees her, she waves and he falls back asleep. The next day Ariel helps Jim with the chores. Then she goes to spend some time with Eric dancing. Jim cant stop thinking about her while he works. Jim then takes Ariel for a ride around. When they return back, they begin to talk, and Ariel lays against his chest and falls asleep.Later Ariel becomes more interested in Jim. He acts like hes going to kiss her. She thinks about it, then, to his surprise, kisses him on the cheek. Later, Jim is offered an opportunity to go on a voyage to find Treasure Planet. During that time, Ariel is spending time with Eric, but couldnt quite figure out that she keeps thinking of Jim. When Jim is playing with Morph in a barrel, he sees Ariel run into her crying and telling herself that she didnt love Jim. He comes out and she catches him through the mirror. He tries to hide the fact that he was crying and walks out of the room. He then decides to take the offer.When Ariel is with Eric, he notices that she was upset and asks her what was wrong. She tells him that she likes that she loves Jim. Eric then smiles knowing that she really did love him. She then thinks about everything that she liked about Jim and realizes that she really did love him. Ariel runs down the stairs to tell him, but she finds his mother talking to the doctor about how he left to go on the voyage. When Jim leaves on the ship, Ariel watches him go. Then she remembers him and decides that she didnt want him to leave, so she jumps in the water and goes after the ship.When she gets on board, the final day was at its end, and sense she did not kiss Eric, she turns back into a mermaid and belonged to Ursula. Jim runs towards Ariel and sees that she was a mermaid and is so surprised that he couldnt save her. A storm blows in and while Ursula is controlling Ariel, Jim remembers how much he loved Ariel and drives the ship into Ursula. When she is destroyed, the ship crashes and Jim falles into the sea. Ariel quickly saves him and brings him back to shore.When Ariel watches Jim at shore, her father realizes how much she loved him and turns her back into a mermaid. Jim then wakes up (dont ask y he was under a boat, i didnt know what to use ^.^') and sees Ariel as a human. He realizes that she loved him and begins to cry and holds her and kiss her and they have their happy ending! yay!the last pic is when Ariel kissed Jim on the cheek.
