Two 16 year old Hong students wow the audience at TEDxMongKok with their intelligent, insightful and sometimes humorous take on why the education system is broken and what we need to do to fix it In the vein of 'ideas worth spreading' TEDxMongKok ran a competition to increase awareness of TED amongst high schools across Hong Kong. The students were asked to present 'their idea to change the world' in a four minute video. We were inundated with entries and impressed by the standard and quality of ideas. It was a tough choice, but a joint entry from West Island School's Andrew McBain and Li Po Chung United World College student Vincent Wang won the judges vote. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
