Former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte was arrested in Manila this week on murder charges – for leading a war on drugs that led to tens of thousands of deaths. During a hearing at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Duterte denied the charges and likened his arrest to a political kidnapping.
