Equations of Parallel and Perpendicular Lines

In this video, you'll learn earn how to identify and find the equation of a line parallel or perpendicular to another line. This is usually covered in Algebra and is a popular SAT question! First, I'll review the definitions of parallel and perpendicular as well as how to determine the slope of a line from it's equation. Hopefully, you'll be given the line in slope-intercept form! But if not, never fear, I'll go over how deal with it if you are not. I'll also cover several examples including several that illustrate how to write the equation of a parallel or perpendicular line given the initial equation and a single point. You'll need point-slope form for that one! And a few examples covering special cases like horizontal and vertical lines.
