This recording's from Copenhagen, June 4, 2000. Mazzy Star did a European tour that year & performed a bunch of new or unreleased songs, including "Leaving on a Train" (previously mistitled "Let That Be"), that have, to this day, not appeared on any official Mazzy album. We learned the correct title of the song from set lists that turned up that were used on stage by the band that listed the title. When I obtained this 2000 show it was surprising & amazing to find it boasts so many unreleased Mazzy songs, 5 altogether, all of which I've uploaded to YT. I've also acquired 4 more unreleased Mazzy songs from a 1990 NYC show (at "Woody's") . All 4 have been uploaded to YT now. A mother lode of gold Mazzy nuggets ! LEAVING ON A TRAIN (lyrics) I don't care if you're leavin' on a train I think all of your music's done in vain And I don't care about the girls that you lay I'm not the one who sees it anyway It came to this If I can set you free And let that be Won't you let that be I don't care if you're goin' home I think all of your music's done all wrong And I don't care if you live in misery The things apparent are the things you just won't see It came to this And if I can set you free And let that be Won't you let that be ************************* Thanks to fan site mazzystar.nu for providing these lyrics. -I notice a track listing from a '94 Mazzy show at the Bridge Benefit, Jan. 10, 1994, lists "Let That Be" among the songs. I've since uploaded to YT another live version of the song. See: "Mazzy Star - Leaving On A Train - Live 1997, The Mint, L..A. , rare (unreleased) song." So, it's a song Mazzy Star sometimes performed live over the years, but was never issued on an official release.
