Scott Sill compares 3 very popular speakers from Eminence Speakers. He compares the Eric Johnson Signature Series (EJ1250) vs, The Governor from the Red Coat Series, and the Legend Series 50 Watt (GB128) speakers using the clean channel on the Gibson Super goldtone amp. Scott plays a Gretsch G6120W 1957 Chet Atkins and a Gibson Les Paul Standard into a Gibson Super Goldtone (GA-30RV). He makes sure to only change out the speaker keeping the amp settings, speaker cabinet and guitar exactly the same. He even measures out the placement of the microphone every time to ensure the exact same location each time. Once Scott has gone through each of the speakers extensively he does a quick chord test through each of the speakers allowing more opportunity to determine which speaker you like best.
