This is my first Enterprise computer, a bit of a rarity in Australia (and worldwide). It's a "German" model as it came with German BASIC and a QWERTZ keyboard layout. I've made the following upgrades: [1] Upgraded the internal ROM socket from 32KB to 64KB [2] Installed the latest EXOS 2.4 ROM [3] 3D printed the missing joystick nub [4] Added my own DIN socket for RGB + audio output [5] Replaced the two (!!) 7805 linear regulators with modern, switching equivalents (ezsbc.com) [6] Replaced the red power LED with a blue one [7] Upgraded the cartridge to accept 64KB EPROMs [8] Put Cyrus II Chess and German BASIC/keyboard layout onto the cartridge The internal ROM socket is pretty simple to upgrade - A15 (pin 1 on a 27512) is connected to Vcc, so I de-soldered the socket & cut the trace on the top-side of the motherboard, then soldered on a new socket. The A15 line can be picked up from a few places (i.e. U6 pin 17) ... for an Enterprise 128 the easiest is from the expansion connector as the memory expansion daughterboard covers U6. The latest EXOS 2.4 (and other ROMs) can be obtained from the excellent Enterprise emulator EP128emu. The latest EXOS also includes BASIC which meant I could put Cyrus II Chess onto the cartridge. For my RGB DIN socket ... I replicated the pinout of the Amstrad CPC6128+ as it includes RGB and stereo audio and means I can re-use my existing cable. https://enterpriseforever.com/ https://stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtop... http://ep.homeserver.hu/ https://www.ezsbc.com Next will be my boxed Enterprise 64 ...
