Insane Crowds, Ancient History & Cultural Wonders In this video, I spend 48 intense hours in Xi’an during the Chinese New Year holiday, navigating insane crowds, ancient landmarks, and some of the most important historical and cultural sites in China. Once the capital of the Tang Dynasty, Xi’an marks the beginning of the Silk Road, which stretched all the way to Damascus, and it’s also one of the earliest cities to embrace Islam, dating back to around 651 AD. Despite arriving exhausted after a long journey, the energy of the city pulled me right in. 📍 Places Featured in This Video Xi’an Grand Mosque — a unique blend of Islamic faith and Chinese architecture Muslim Quarter — food, culture, and nonstop energy Bell Tower of Xi’an — one of the busiest spots during the holiday Xi’an City Wall — with an unexpected live performance Terracotta Warriors — thousands of life-sized warriors guarding the emperor’s tomb Huaqing Palace — a glimpse into imperial life Song of Everlasting Sorrow live performance — the emotional highlight of the trip 🧭 Terracotta Warriors Guide We were lucky to meet an English-speaking local guide at the Terracotta Warriors who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate.
