If you or a loved one are struggling with addiction call (866) 749 8240 The substance abuse treatment program at A Forever Recovery rehabilitation center is so successful due, in large part, to the people at our facility. From the compassionate withdrawal specialists at our medically supervised detox clinic to the case managers, counselors, course facilitators and even our kitchen staff, it is evident that every member of our recovery team is deeply and personally invested in the successful rehabilitation of each patient that comes to us seeking help in overcoming their addiction. Much of the care and dedication that our staff shows to our patients is a result of the deeper understanding that they have for what our patients are going through. Many of our staff members have also been through the recovery process, overcoming their own substance abuse issues. They know exactly what obstacles our patients are facing, and they know exactly how the patients are feeling. This allows them to connect with the patients on a much more personal level and offer strong support and encouragement to them throughout the entire recovery process. Curtis was struggling with an addiction to pain medication mixed with alcohol. His drinking started to get excessive in his mid-twenties, and as a construction contractor, injuries led to prescription painkillers being added to his substance abuse issues in his early thirties. After a dangerous situation where his wife and son found him unconscious, he knew that he needed to make a change and that he needed help. Soon after, he found himself at our recovery center. “I had to make some decisions,” Curtis tells us. “One of those decisions was to call AFR and ask if they could help me.” As many of our patients experience when they are going through withdrawal, he was scared and anxious, and didn’t want to go through with it. But, with encouragement and support from his family and the staff here, he fought back against those thoughts and feelings and persevered. While the staff members were instrumental in his decision to stick with it, they weren’t the only people that Curtis found to be helpful in staying motivated to beat his addiction. “Within about 10 days, things completely changed for me,” Curtis says. “I knew in my heart that I was at the right place. People genuinely care here. Without the peers, I think that this program does not work.” The patients at AFR draw strength from one another, knowing that they are not alone in their struggle and that they can depend on each other when things get tough. The relationships that are formed here often last a lifetime, as they begin to form the strong support network that is necessary for a continued life of sobriety. In working through the program, the other patients are just as important as the counselors and other staff members. At A Forever Recovery, we have made a commitment to helping our patients through every step that they take on the path to leading a healthy and positive lifestyle, free from the bonds of addiction to drugs and alcohol. Through constant encouragement offered by the staff and support gained from the other people working through their recovery program, our patients discover that they do, indeed, have the power within themselves to remain clean and sober. They find that they have the ability to build a better world for themselves and their loved ones, and the strength to hope for a brighter future.
