Iran launched a new strike on a US base in Erbil, Iraq, where foreign troops including Hungarians are stationed. Hungarian military has participated in the Iraq mission since 2015, training and supporting local forces against terrorism. Hungary essentially baselessly seized seven Ukrainian cash-in-transit guards and a truck with money and gold in Budapest that were heading to Austria. Ukraine demands explanations, as such actions could be considered state terrorism. Tensions between the countries are also rising over the Druzhba pipeline issue, as Hungary threatens to block EU sanctions against Russia and financial aid to Ukraine if oil supplies aren't restored.
