THIS IS ALBANIA! | Ferry from Corfu to Sarandë + The Blue Eye | Albania Travel Vlog

Join me as we take the ferry from Corfu to Sarandë, and later explore this beautiful city along the Albanian Rivera. We started the day by taking the ferry from Corfu port, making our way across the Ionian Sea to Sarandë, which only took 40 minutes. The journey was very comfortable, and we had amazing views of both the island and mainland from both directions. Upon arriving in Sarandë, we quickly checked into our Air B&B, which was then followed by a bite to eat at a local pizza restaurant and a casual stroll along the waterfront. As evening approached, we joined a local tour group which drove us to the near by Blue Eye, a clear blue natural water spring. To help preserve this natural phenomenon, it is advised not to enter the water at the spring, but you can enter it at a point further along, which is what we did. The water was only ten degrees. It felt even colder than that, as my feet started to go numb. There is also a little cafe at this point too, with a delicious cheesecake which I had to try. To finish off the day, the tour group then drove back to Sarandë, where we visited Lëkurësi Castle, which is known as a perfect spot to capture the sun setting over the city. It is so beautiful up there. Not only does the castle have these amazing views, it also has an outside restaurant where you can sit, relax and eat, whilst enjoying the sunset. Something we decided to come back and do a few days later.
