Marcello Tania is a bionic mechanics and mechatronics engineer from Indonesia. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Germany and has also been a visiting student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he worked as a researcher at MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms. Visiting Maker Faire Shenzhen for the first time, Marcello was most excited to see new technologies, robots, and inspiring people. For him, the motivation to keep making comes from continuous learning and meeting new friends. Having traveled across multiple continents, his passion for creation has always guided and driven him forward. Turning ideas into reality—learning, exploring, thinking, and creating along the way—Marcello’s journey reflects a restless creative spirit and the limitless possibilities it brings. He has built robots that play Flappy Bird using AI, and firmly believes that AI is making hardware creation easier and more powerful than ever. In Shenzhen, he saw the real potential to turn ideas into products—exactly why he loves the maker world.
