I consider these two islands to be among the most beautiful in the entire Antilles archipelago. The combination of turquoise blue water, constant trade winds, and numerous sheltered bays makes sailing there a truly special experience. The starting point for our trips was most of the time Jolly Harbour on Antigua. From there, you can explore the island or set course north towards Barbuda. The route across the open sea can be very strenuous, but in good wind conditions it is a wonderful sail. The real highlight are the two trips to Barbuda that we took with our friends. This island seems even more unspoiled and peaceful than Antigua. The long, almost deserted beaches and the incredibly clear water create an atmosphere that is hard to describe. These joint sailing trips were wonderful experiences for us – full of special moments on the water, relaxed evenings on board, and unforgettable impressions of one of the most beautiful island regions in the Caribbean.
