Hanukkah: Shop with Me / Target / Michael's / Home Goods / Party City

Shop with me for Hanukkah decorations, dreidels, and more at Target, Michael’s, Home Goods, and Party City. When I was in college, I came home to my dorm one day and found that my roommates had hung Christmas decorations. I was devastated. This time of year always left me feeling like there was a big party that I wasn’t invited to. My mom’s solution was to send me a package of Hanukkah decorations. It was a wonderful surprise and that’s how my collection of Chanukah decorations started. Every year I buy a couple of more things to decorate with. I often buy them after the season is over and they’re on clearance. I was excited to find that this year Target has Hanukkah things in their Dollar Spot. A whole section of menorahs, decorations, and lights for under $5! They also had another section in the store as well. I also checked out Michael’s which had a large display including craft items and lots of stickers. I love that some of their stickers include pictures of sufganiyot! Home Goods had a great selection of Hanukkah games and beautiful décor at great prices. Home Goods is owned by the same company as TJMaxx and Marshall’s, so those are probably good places to check out too. Finally, I went to Party City. They have been a long time favorite of mine for Hanukkah fun. They have lots of paper good, but also an inflatable dreidel and other novelty items. It seems like the big box stores have finally started to realize that there’s a market for merchandise for Jewish holidays. While I don’ t know that Target will be having and giant Passover displays this year, they did a great job for Chanukah.
