Join me for an exploration and history recap of the Naval Air Station Alameda. It was a former naval/aviation base in Alameda, CA. It shut down and was abandoned in 1997, the majority of the property still remains there to this day in 2023. It's an absolute mystery as to why it just sits here considering this property would be extremely valuable land as the bay area is one of the wealthiest areas in the world. Due to its convenient location sitting right on the San Francisco Bay and Pacific Ocean, it played a key role in the Doolittle Raid on Japan following the attack on Pearl Harbor during WWII.
