Christmas 2024 | Building The 220V to 110V Outlet Adapters

The improvement objective for this year's Christmas lights display was to better the electrical setup. These adapters are the final step to the process. The kitchen adapter converts the 20A 220V outlet into four switched 20A 110V outlets, for a total of 40 amps. I added a switched extension for the existing 20 amp outlet, resulting in a total of 60 amps of switched power for the outside display all in the same place. I purchased a pre-built adapter for the living room outlet as a circuit breaker was needed to limit the current to 20 amps out of 30, but I did build a switched extension for it to plug in to. Unfortunately I did not accurately understand the logic of the switch and wired the mains to itself, which blew up the switch. I will have to order a replacement switch and finish that piece this week.
