This track is a little different from what you’d normally expect from me. Usually, I lean into drum and bass as my signature style, but for this one, I wanted to step away from that and create something that feels more nostalgic. It’s not my proudest or most polished mix, but that’s intentional I see this remix as a bridge between what I’ve been doing and what’s coming next. Sometimes you need that in-between piece, something that acknowledges the past before charging fully into the future. The inspiration here came from the August 2019 era when I first started experimenting with my own custom drum loops. Back then, it was all about discovery, trial and error, and finding my sound. By revisiting that energy, I wanted this track to feel like a nod to the roots of my journey while also reminding myself (and you) of how far things have come.
