Every duck hunter dreams of being able to look up into a sky filled with ducks. However, what it takes to turn that dream into a reality can vary greatly depending on what part of the country in which you’re hunting. In the southern part of the Mississippi flyway, public land isn’t exactly in abundance, and in the state of Mississippi alone more than 90% of the land is privately owned. So much of the hunting takes place on private land that’s either family owned, a lease, a club, or sometimes accessed via permission. In places like these, it’s common practice and normally necessary to engage in different types of land management practices, such as moist soil management, crop planting, water pumping, and many more. Check out our latest film as we follow along with one of these properties throughout a season to see the different types of challenges it faces and successes along the way.
