Iliotibial Band Syndrome (IT Band) can be a total drag on your training. I should know. After the Steamtown Marathon my IT Band was completely shot and I couldn't run more than 4 minutes at a time for 13 weeks. I went from running 70 miles a week to less than 10 because of knee pain. What I'm about to show you should help prevent what I went through. It's not fool proof but it's proven to work with the majority of people when performed consistently.
