Water Test Kit (Digital) – DIGI Test Cell Water in Oil test kit. This video shows how to use the Digi Cell Water test Kit for your machinery or engine lubrication. It is essential to maintain and protect equipment while eliminating the damage caused by water in oil. The DIGI Plus Water in Oil Test Kit provides state-of-the-art, digital analysis and gives fast, accurate results to easily monitor trends. This test kit is designed to prevent corrosion, cavitation or failure of your machinery by detecting water in oil, before any damage occurs. By monitoring the oil, this test helps the user to minimize the instability of additive packages and damaging microbe growth. This durable test is fully portable for use on-board or in the field and easy to use. DIGI Plus Field Test Kit - Water in Oil, TBN, TAN, Insolubles and Viscosity Comparison The DIGI Test Cell from Parker is a compact onboard oil test kit ideally suited for use in marine applications. Capable of testing for water in oil, total base number (TBN), total acid number (TAN), insolubles, and comparative viscosity. The Parker Hannifin Marine Condition Monitoring DIGICell is the essential device for Water in Oil and BN (Base Number) testing. Water contamination may cause different problems in different types of lubricating oil, although corrosion is always directly associated with water ingress. Whatever the equipment, water can displace the oil at contacting surfaces, reducing the amount of lubrication and activating surfaces which may themselves act as catalysts for degradation of the oil. Water contamination within lubricating oil storage tanks can lead to microbiological growth, forming yeast, mold and bacteria that will clog filters and very rapidly corrode fuel systems. In highly loaded lubricated contacts, particularly where oil films are thin (for example on gear teeth), water contamination can result in rapid failure through the localized or general breakdown of oil film conditions. Alternatively, the mode of failure could be progressive, resulting from local or generalized corrosion of components within the systems and/or through effects that impact on the functionality of the lubricant itself. #ConditionMonitoring #Marine #WaterTest Learn More: https://ph.parker.com/us/en/product-l...
