The band consists of vocalist Justin Bonitz, lead guitarist Derrick Schneider, rhythm guitarist Alex Snowden, bassist Max Portnoy, drummer Joel McDonald and turntablist Ivan Little. The band was formed in 2017 by drummer Max Portnoy (son of Mike Portnoy of the progressive metal band Dream Theater), lead guitarist Derrick Schneider, and bassist Andrew Cooper. The band has released three studio albums, Matriphagy (2020), The Generation of Danger (2022), and Primeval: Obsession // Detachment (2025).
