NRM INTENSIFIES VOTER EDUCATION DRIVE IN KANUNGU AHEAD OF GENERAL ELECTIONS

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) has intensified its grassroots voter education campaign in Kanungu District as part of a strategic effort to safeguard the integrity of the vote and secure a decisive victory in the forthcoming general elections. On Thursday, senior NRM officials rolled out a comprehensive voter sensitization exercise aimed at equipping voters with clear knowledge of voting procedures to minimize cases of invalid ballots. The exercise was spearheaded by Jacquiline Kyatuheire, the NRM Deputy National Treasurer and Head of Mobilization for the Kigezi sub-region. The high-profile meeting, which attracted party stakeholders from across the district, was held at Kihihi Polytechnic Institute playground in Kihihi Town Council. Kyatuheire provided detailed guidance on every step of the voting process, emphasizing accuracy, discipline, and vigilance at the polling stations to ensure every NRM vote counts. Addressing village party leaders and mobilizers, Kyatuheire tasked them to cascade the voter education message to households and communities across Kanungu, reinforcing the party’s commitment to participatory democracy and electoral success. She noted that the sensitization drive is a deliberate move by the NRM to secure an overwhelming and convincing victory for the party’s presidential flag bearer, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, whose leadership she credited for Uganda’s sustained peace, economic growth, and socio-economic transformation. Using the same platform, Kyatuheire rallied Ugandans to once again place their trust in President Museveni, arguing that continuity under the NRM is critical for consolidating development gains and accelerating Uganda’s journey towards middle-income status.
