Abstract It’s a common problem for some patients to have their last molar tube bitten off due to the short crown of last molars. If the molar tube is to be re-bonded to the proper position, two problems will incur as a result: one is the total treatment time will be prolonged as it’s necessary to regress to softer and thiner wires. The other is patients will experience considerable discomfort when chewing with minimal occlusal contacts due to bite opening. So considerations of rebonding or not should include whether it’s in the initial stage when significant tooth movement is expected or the finishing stage. If it is in this stage, simply cut the main wire short without rebonding the dislodged bracket is also a viable option. 摘要 由於最後一顆大臼齒的牙冠通常較短，矯正療程中常遇到患者咬掉molar tube。若重新將矯正器黏在正確的位置上，一方面需要退回較細軟的線因而延長療程，一方面需墊高咬合，造成患者咀嚼不適。因此決定是否要重新黏著此顆矯正器時，需考慮患者的治療進程是處於剛開始進行大範圍移動，或是已接近最後微調的階段。如果處於此階段，把主線截斷，不黏矯正器，也是一種可行的選項。
