Prof. Kanokkan Tepmalai from Thailand for their great efforts to organize this inspirational and informational 2-Day Localized Hybrid Module in-person training program in Thailand. 21 Thailand doctors attended the 2-day lectures and hands-on training program at the Olympus Thailand Medical Training & Education Center, Thailand (T-TEC) and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. Asst. Prof. Kanokkan Tepmalai and Asst Prof. Bandhuphat Chakrabandhu were the moderators to lead through the learning session of both days. In the first half of the event both days, we had notable speakers from the region to share the basics and best practices on “Management of Gastric Submucosal Lesion and Common Upper GI Disease” in combined endoscopy-laparoscopy approach. They are Dr. Allen Buenafe (Philippines), Prof. Suthep Udomsawaengsup (Thailand), Asst. Prof. Kanokkan Tepmalai (Thailand), Asst. Prof. Bandhuphat Chakrabandhu (Thailand), Assoc. Prof. Prasit Mahawongkajit (Thailand), Asst. Prof. Parit Mekaroonkamol (Thailand), Dr. Chainarong Phalanusitthepha (Thailand), and Dr. Pornthep Prathanvanich (Thailand). In the second half of the first day, we had the Endo-Lap hands-on training session with pig organ model at the Olympus Thailand Medical Training & Education Center, Thailand (T-TEC) which is exclusively created for the Thailand doctors to practice procedures such as wedge resection, intragastric resection, LECS and ESD. The highlight of this workshop was the cadaveric laparoscopic hands-on training on the second day at the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital focused on heller myotomy and fundoplication. Other than the invited lecture faculty, we also invited Dr. Pakkavuth Chanswangphuvana and Dr. Aisawan Asumpinawong from Thailand as the guest faculty to guide the participants through the procedures.
