... egaaads. XD Ifailohdeargod. AND AGAIN, THE GOD OF SHITTY THUMBNAILS LOVES ME. My audtition for Shvonzy's "Let The Games Begin" anime role play. 8D (and many thanks to Rill who helped with music and brainstorming and generally being her awesome self.) Story// After the incident at her school, in which Rena breaks all the windows in her school and attacks three of the classmates, shortly after her parents divorce; rather than going back to Hinamizawa with her Father, her Mother wins custody and she ends up staying in Ibaraki with her, despite her protests to the matter. Her mother starts making her see a psychologist, while Rena's psychosis and paranoia over Oyashiro-sama's curse only gets worse (basically, her Hinamizawa Syndrome kicks into overdrive). She stops going to school, and her relationship with her mother and her new husband gets ever thinner as she all but stops leaving her room, ever more sure that Oyashiro-sama is going to punish her for not returning, bitter at her mother because she views it as her fault. It's during this time, alone in her room, she starts using her computer more -- and this is how she meets Takanashi Yomi. Yomi's relationship with her parents is also strained, albeit due to their constant working, and after entering her second year of middle school, her relationship with her best friend Mato has become distant, sparking her fears of abandonment and jealousy of other girls getting close to her (in this case, Yuu). Both girls take comfort in eachother, talking daily over email and instant messaging, glad to have someone who understands their situation and allows them to vent their feelings. Yomi suggests a real life meeting, which Rena accepts. It's during this meeting that things go downhill. Rena explains her worries and growing anxiety over Oyashiro-sama's impending punishment, to which Yomi responds with incredulity -- this causes to snap, yelling at the other girl and leaving. She also stops responding to the Yomi's messages, slipping deeper into her delusions and paranoia. With no one left to talk to and her only friend slipping away by the minute, Yomi lapses further into her own darker feelings, slowly giving into that voice at the back of her head ("Why would they want a girl with such a dark heart..?", "Who would care if you disappeared today..?"), and eventually, watching Mato and Yuu, she gives into that voice, and disappears. The same night, Rena vanishes from her room. ---- Characters// Ryuugu Rena // she's slowly succumbing to her Hinamizawa Syndrome, much like her Tsumihoroboshi-hen self, though whether or not she can snap herself out of it as she did in that arc is unknown. Even with her mounting paranoia, her skills of observation and problem solving are keen, albeit skewed; her weapon of choice will likely remain her hatchet, should one come into her possession. Takanashi Yomi/Dead Master // for this AU, Dead Master is a member of a low ranking demon race -- they latch onto a host, feeding on and helping to supplement the negative thoughts and emotions of said host before finally taking control of the body. It is after Dead Master takes control that she leaves for Rokkenjima of her own will, having heard vague rumours of the Great Witch Beatrice's game -- however, she is quite surprised to find an unconscious Rena when she arrives. However, se is happy to use this to her advantage and amusement -- host consciousness can take over, and Dead Master wants to keep this body for as long as possible. She is substantially weaker than she appeared in Black Rock Shooter, though still cunning and manipulative, and very deft with her scythe. ---- ... THAT GOT LONG, I'M SORRY.
