[VW Crafter] Prague EMS Ambulance 272 responding - Red & Blue Whelen Lighting/ Liberty 2 [CZ 3.2026]

I finally got a video of one of the newer VW Crafter ambulances of Prague EMS! The most interesting information in short: Since the early 2000's Prague EMS has mainly used Mercedes Sprinter box ambulances. They were the first and they still are the only Czech EMS agency to use MB Sprinter box ambulances as standard emergency ambulances. EMS agencies in all other Regions either use VW Transporter vans or Sprinter/ Crafter van-based ambulances. Now Prague EMS is taking a different route with (as of July 2025) 25 Volkswagen Crafter/ Sicar ambulances. They are used in central Prague and boroughs with high traffic and tight streets where Crafter vans can operate easier and faster than regular box ambulances. So they basically traded in interior space for maneuverability. These units may also be cheaper than box ambulances. As a side note: as far as I know Prague EMS is not remounting boxes. As usual for Prague EMS, the Crafter ambulances feature a Whelen lights & sirens. For the first time Prague EMS is using Liberty II lightbars! 10 ION-T's were mounted as secondary lighting. Unfortunately no Core system and an unsynced dash light since that is from Federal Signal Vama.
