PRDS College Of Arts And Science was inaugurated by Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala on 12 November 2016. The ceremony was preceded over by Shri. Y. Sadasivan, PRDS President. A number of political, religious and social, and cultural leaders attended the meeting. Thousands of PRDS believers witnessed the event. Prathyaksha Raksha Daiva Sabha (P. R. D. S) is a socio-religious organisation working mainly among the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other weaker sections of the society for over 100 years. The founder of the Sabha is ‘Poykayil Sree Kumara Gurudevan’. Gurudevan is the full incarnation of God taken birth to uplift and ameliorate the depressed, suppressed and oppressed classes from slavery and other social and spiritual evils. In 2014, The Government of Kerala has accorded sanction for an aided Arts and Science College at Amarapuram under the Mahatma Gandhi University vide Government Order GO(MS)160/14/HR.Edn.Dept dated 11.04.2014. College is named as ‘PRDS College of Arts & Science’. The college is managed by ‘Sreekumara gurudeva Educational & Charitable Trust’ (SECT) for and on behalf of the Sabha. The President, PRDS and also Chairman, SECT Shri. Y. Sadasivan is the Manager of the College. Motto of the institution: വെളിച്ചം വിജ്ഞാനം വിമോചനം ...
