Build your own balance board set up step by step less than $50! Perfect for snowboarders, skateboarders, surfers, etc. Prepare yourself for injury prevention or body awareness for that next trick you have been working towards. Supplies: 1) Skateboard Deck: https://amzn.to/3cqNEvT 2) 3M Grip tape: https://amzn.to/2RHaB47 3) PVC Pipe: https://www.homedepot.com/p/VPC-6-in-... 4) Foam Padding (Purchase a couple): https://amzn.to/2FMVzXX 5) Screws: https://amzn.to/32Llubx Instructions: 1) 0:41 - Grip Tape - If your skate deck doesn't have grip tape pre-taped, do so by watching any number of YouTube videos. 2) 1:10 - PVC Pipe Explanation 3) 1:36 - 3M Taping - Draw a single straight line across the length of the pic pipe. Measure 2" across for a total of 12 (If your PVC is 24" long). Grab the end of your 3M grip tape and lay the end flush in-between 2 of the chosen marks. Unroll the tape all the way around the PVC until it meets flush with the original end. Cut as needed so both ends are flush on the drawn line. Repeat for the entire length of the PVC pipe or as shown (8 strips of tape). Roll and apply pressure to make sure tape is snug against PVC. 4) 4:42 - Testing it out! Additional Safety Instructions if adding wooden blocks and foam padding: 1) 2:35 - Beginner suggestions. 2) 2:52 - Safety Blocks - Measure 2 pieces of 1-1.5" thick scrap wood the exact width of the skateboard deck (Mine was 8"). Use a handheld saw to cut or if you have wood working tools even better! 3) 3:25 - Screws - Pre-drill holes (3-4) either utilizing 2 of the predrilled truck holes or making your own. These can be 1" or more apart. 1 1/4" screw length works well. 4) 3:34 - Sanding - If you want the wood blocks to be more flush against the skateboard deck, take a piece of sand paper or sanding machine to form a slight curve into the wooden block similar to the skateboard deck. 5) 4:07 - Foam - You can trace your skateboard deck tails onto stick foam backing to place on the ends for grip when your tail is down and to protect your floors. You can also measure enough to wrap around the wooden blocks to provide protection to your set up and to your floors.
