Belt-Schutsloot (Overijssel) Belt-Schutsloot is a village located in the nature reserve De Wieden in the municipality of Steenwijkerland in the Dutch province of Overijssel. In 2019, the village had 585 inhabitants. Belt-Schutsloot is located between the waters of Arembergergracht, Schutsloteruurde and Kleine Belteruurde. Belt-Schutsloot originated from two villages: Belt (Zandbelt) and the Schutslot on Schutsloterwide. Over the years it has become one village that also belonged to the former municipality of Zwartsluis for some time. A canal runs through the village, through which many pleasure yachts sail. Tourism - in particular water sports - is an important source of income. The village therefore has many campsites and marinas. The Wiedenroute passes through the village.
